It is the Best selling series in history, it sold 100 million collected tankobon volumes by February 2005, over 200 million by February 2011 and had over 380 million volumes in circulation worldwide by 2015.

PLOT

The story starts with the execution of the world's most Famous pirate "Gold D. Roger", before his Death he announces that he had left hi Treasure "ONE PIECE" and anybody can find it. This started an uproar among the pirates for finding the treasure and becoming the King of The Pirates. 

Twenty Years have passed since Roger's Execution and Monkey D. Luffy, a young man inspired by his childhood idol and powerful pirate: "Red Haired Shanks" sets off on a Journey from the East Blue Sea to find the One Piece and to become the King of the Pirates.

He had an ability of the Gum-Gum Fruit(Devil Fruit) which makes him a rubber Man. A Devil Fruit gives you a special ability but makes the user unable to swim in sea water.

During his Journey he finds various people, make friends and gathers a wonderful crew. Other crew members also have their own dreams which they want to accomplish.

On June 15, 2015, it was announced that Eiichiro Oda and One Piece has set the Guinness World Recod for "The most copies published for the same Comic Book series by a Single Author."

The first opening of the One Piece anime TV series, "We Are", won the Animation Kobe Theme Song of the Year 2000.

 In 2006, it was elected 32nd of the Top 100 Japanese anime by TV Asahi and 21st by its viewers.

Funimation's first DVD release of the series "One Piece: Season 1 First Voyage" was nominated for the Fifth Annual TV DVD Awards.
